Mining
For more than 40 years, underground miners have relied on Ocenco’s field-proven EEBDs to provide them with breathable air as they escape hazardous atmospheres created by mine fires. The M-20, M-20.3 EBA 6.5, and EBA-75 exceed NIOSH regulations. All these devices are manufactured to be reliable and withstand the harsh mine environments.
M-20 SCSR
The M-20 is a belt-wearable Self Contained Self Rescuer (SCSR) that is field-proven for use in mines, tunnels, and confined spaces. The simple and easy donning allows the user to obtain respiratory protection in less than ten seconds.
M-20.3 CCER
The M-20.3 meets the NIOSH 42 CFR part 84 subpart O requirements for closed circuit escape respirators. The compressed oxygen delivery system activates automatically when the device is removed from the clear case. The demand regulator allows the user to inhale immediately from the device when donned and provides up to 100 liters of oxygen flow during high work rates. The clear case allows the user to quickly visually assess the operational readiness of the device.
EBA 6.5 SCSR
The EBA 6.5 is a self-contained, closed circuit breathing apparatus using compressed oxygen as a source rather than generating oxygen from chemicals. The rugged clear case allows the miner to quickly and accurately visually assess the condition of the device. The oxygen delivery system allows the user to inhale immediately from the device when donned, and provides up to 100 liters of oxygen flow during high work rates. Manual adjustment of the oxygen valve will provide a user at rest up to 8 hours of respiratory protection.
EBA-75 CCER
The EBA-75 is a compressed oxygen closed-circuit escape respirator (CCER), also known as a self-contained self-rescuer (SCSR). The rugged clear case allows the miner to quickly and accurately assess the condition of the device. The oxygen delivery system allows the user to inhale immediately from the device when donned, and provides up to 100 liters of oxygen flow during high work rates. The User at Rest procedure will provide a trapped miner up to 6.5 hours of respiratory protection.
